Competition Schedule

Competition Name Tasracing Vote to Win All-Star Mile Competition (“Competition”)
Competition Period 31 January 2020 – 19 February 2020
Eligibility Entrants must be over the age of eighteen (18). Entrants must have voted for either of the Tasmanian horse nominees, 'Mystic Journey' or 'Mandela Effect', in the All-Star Mile voting on the allstarmile.com.au website.
Method of Entry To enter the competition entrants must provide Tasracing with proof of vote for either of the said Tasmanian horse nominees in the All-Star Mile voting. Entrants must forward their vote email verification to allstarmile@tasracing.com.au. Duplicate email entries from the same entrant will not be accepted - only one entry per person is allowed.
Prize Details All expenses paid trip to the value of five thousand dollars ($5,000) for two (2) people to the All-Star Mile race day at Caulfield Racecourse on 14 March 2020. The prize includes two (2) nights’ accommodation, flights, food and beverage, and transfers.

The winner will be notified by email. The prize must be collected within five (5) days from the date that the winner is announced.
  1. This Competition is run by Tasracing Pty Ltd (ABN 62 269 303 946) of Ladbrokes Park, 6 Goodwood Road, Glenorchy Tasmania 7010 (“Promoter”).
  2. Your entry into this Competition constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
  3. All instructions on how to enter this Competition and the Competition Schedule form part of these Terms and Conditions. If there is inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and the Competition Schedule, the Competition Schedule will prevail.
  4. Entry into this Competition is open to residents of Australia only who are at least eighteen(18) years of age. However, employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and its associated clubs, agencies and companies (including Tasbreeders) are not eligible to enter. Should an entrant be deemed by the Promoter in its sole discretion to be ineligible to enter the Competition, the entrant may not participate any further in the Competition.
  5. This Competition does not form part of the All-Star Mile voting on the allstarmile.com.au website and Tasracing is not responsible for the All-Star Mile voting outcome or the race outcome. The winner of this Competition will be selected regardless of the All-Star Mile voting outcome.
  6. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any late, lost or misdirected entries including delays due to technical disruptions, network congestion or for any other reason. Any entries received after the competition period has ended will not be accepted.
  7. There is no fee to enter this Competition. This Competition is run as a trade promotion lottery and the winning entrant will be chosen at random in a game of chance. Games of chance are subject to regulations in the State of Tasmania.
  8. The Promoter may, at its sole discretion, require the winning entrant to provide proof of identity, proof of residency or other details and information to verify the eligibility of the entrant to enter the Competition. Should the winning entrant not comply with such requirements within the timeframe specified by the Promoter, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered.
  9. Approximate prize values are specified in the Competition Schedule. All values are stated as the recommended retail price at the time of publishing. The Promoter takes no responsibility for variations in the value of the prize.
  10. Winners will be notified in the manner determined by the Promoter. If a winner does not collect a prize by within the timeframe specified by the Promoter, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered.
  11. If the prize is a voucher, the voucher is valid until the voucher expiry date specified on the voucher or as otherwise specified by the provider of the voucher and is subject to terms and conditions imposed by that provider. The Promoter is not liable for any voucher once it has been awarded.
  12. Entrants authorise the Promoter, in advertising the winner of the Competition, to advertise their name in any publication of the Promoter. Entrants also grant the Promoter and third parties authorised by it permission to use images or recordings or other images or likeness of the Entrant in any media throughout the world and for any purpose (including promotional purposes), without identification, nor further request for consent or compensation of any kind.
  13. Any information provided for the purposes of this Competition are subject to the Promoters privacy policy available at https://tasracingcorporate.com.au/about/governance/privacy-policy/. Information provided to the Promoter may also be passed on to third parties.
  14. Decisions of the Promoter in respect to the Competition are at the Promoter’s sole discretion. The Promoter will not negotiate regarding any decisions it has made.
  15. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with any prize/s except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
  16. Where this Competition is run on Facebook, Facebook is released from all liability arising from the Competition and entrants acknowledge that the Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. Entrants provide their information to the Promoter and not to Facebook and any correspondence in respect to the Competition is to be directed to the Promoter.
  17. The Australian Consumer Law and other similar legislation cannot be excluded, restricted or modified by the Promoter. However, to the extent that it is permitted by law to do so, the Promoter makes no representations or warranties, express or implied, other than the Australian Consumer Law, regarding the quality and suitability of the prize awarded under these Terms and Conditions and will not be responsible for breach of any such implied terms.
  18. The Competition and these Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Tasmania.
